Two jobs the homeowners had been quoting separately for a year: replace a leaning rear fence, and put up somewhere to store the mower and the bikes.

Doing both at once meant one mobilisation, one set of post holes dug, and the same cedar and the same stain on the fence and the shed cladding. The shed sits on a gravel-and-skid base tucked into the corner the fence created.

Cheaper than the two separate quotes had been, and it actually looks like one thing.

Scope of work

  • 120 lineal feet of cedar fence, replacing a failed run
  • 8ft x 10ft shed on a compacted gravel and skid base
  • Matched cladding and stain across both
  • One mobilisation, one crew, eight days
