Scope

Completed

August 2025

An unfinished basement with one small hopper window and a stair that arrived in the middle of the room.

The main work nobody sees: cutting and enlarging the foundation opening for a code-compliant egress window, and a new window well with a drain tied into the weeping tile. After that it was framing, insulation, a rebuilt stair landing, and finishes.

The room now takes real daylight, which is the difference between a basement and a floor of the house.

Scope of work

  • Foundation cut and enlarged egress window opening
  • New window well, drained to weeping tile
  • Framing, insulation and vapour barrier throughout
  • Rebuilt stair landing, permit and inspections included
